The next generation of communication students on the Werbung und Marktkommunikation degree programme spent an impressive morning at the LässingMüller advertising agency. Volker Lässing and his team opened their doors to the students of Stuttgart's Hochschule der Medien on Friday, 5 December 2025. Exciting content, valuable insights and plenty of time for individual discussions and open dialogue in a welcoming atmosphere made the visit an outstanding excursion.

Creative. Brand. Performance.

After a warm welcome and a brief tour of the agency, Volker Lässing and his LMWA team gave the guests from the HdM an interesting look behind the scenes. In his presentation, he outlined the agency's development and positioning, scope of services, client portfolio and everyday work and agency life.

"Noline Thinking"
How does LässingMüller actually work? How is the complex variety of channels manageable and what does the "Noline Thinking" approach involve? What challenges and requirements for the future characterise the agency's day-to-day work and how can collaboration between clients and the agency be structured? These and many other aspects were outlined using examples and explained to the students in an understandable way.

AI in agencies

Stefan Sturm had put together an exciting overview of the latest facts on the topic of AI in everyday agency life - from the current status quo to a wide range of expectations and forecasts - for the guests from the HdM.

How is the use of artificial intelligence already influencing agency work and what forward-looking changes are on the horizon? What new challenges will have to be overcome, what opportunities may arise and how will the required skills and job profiles change? Together with Dominik Neyer, he presented selected practical examples of how the use of AI can be organised and what new insights can be gained in the process.

The changing world of work

To what extent can AI change and shape the working world in the agency and communications industry? How can students prepare themselves to actively shape their professional careers? Volker Lässig provided the WM students with valuable starting points and motivating impulses to engage courageously and curiously with the changing challenges and seize the opportunities that present themselves.

Traineeship and practical semester

Why a traineeship at LMWA? What does a practical semester at LMWA look like? Hannah Becker and Anna Schunter, who presented their experiences from the current traineeship and internship semester in an entertaining way, were extremely valuable for the young communication talents at HdM. What opportunities and options were they both able to utilise and how did they experience their personal and professional development? In any case, both gave very helpful impressions to the WM students.

Werbung und Marktkommunikation says thank you!

We would like to thank Volker Lässing and his LMWA team for this excellent opportunity for our students to gain insights into the practice and agency. In addition to current interesting content and valuable tips, this visit provided a wide range of experiences and future expectations of the agency representatives. In particular, however, the Werbung und Marktkommunikation degree programme would like to thank the students for the open exchange and the generous appreciation and attention.
