PUK agency Stuttgart - WM excursion
Text and pictures: Marion Kisling
On Thursday, 27 November 2025, students of the Werbung und Marktkommunikation course were able to spend an impressive evening at PUK agency in Stuttgart together with Prof. Dr Sebastian Wolf and Marion Kisling.
Tara Müller (Account Manager), Lukas Frech (Producer) and José A. Diego (Executive Creative Director) had prepared an exciting and informative programme.
Welcome to PUK agency!
After a round of introductions and a first meeting, the most important facts about the PUK agency were presented. PUK is part of the fischerAppelt Group and specialises in creative Advertising, Campaigning and Digital Content. A particular advantage is its own in-house production unit for photography, moving images and podcasts. The owner-managed agency currently has around 180 employees at 5 locations. The PUK team vividly outlined their core and special competences as well as the special possibilities of the PUK Studio to the guests from the Hochschule der Medien.
How is the agency, which bases its work on the credo "Crafting The Magic", organised structurally, how closely do the teams work together and what does everyday agency life look like? Tara Müller and her colleagues provided a clear initial overview and combined this with details during a tour of the impressively designed premises.
Exemplary cases and exciting insights
Using selected cases, the WM students were able to gather specific information on the tasks, processes and approaches involved in agency work. What steps are taken from the initial idea to the finished production? What challenges and skills are required? How do you work as an account manager, as a creative and producer and how do you liaise with clients, for example?
These and many other aspects were illustrated using examples and supplemented by the PUK experts with exciting background information. Josè A. Diego, who in addition to his agency career is also a long-standing lecturer at the Hochschule der Medien Stuttgart for the course "Advertising Copywriting", provided valuable insights into agency work.
Questions, answers and conversations
Of course, there was also helpful information for the next generation on the subject of internships and starting a career. Above all, the exciting presentations by agency representatives about individual and formative personal experiences from their work demonstrated how multifaceted agency work can be.
The use of AI in day-to-day agency work was also discussed in detail. And there was plenty of opportunity for individual questions and discussions in a relaxed atmosphere with snacks and drinks at the end.
Many thanks to the PUK agency team!
We would like to thank PUK agency for this informative and exciting excursion programme. A wide range of content, exclusive insights into agency work and everyday life as well as individual personal experiences gave the WM students a valuable opportunity for orientation and reflection.
We would particularly like to thank them for the generous time they gave us and the open dialogue. The next generation of WM students benefited from the successful visit across the board. We would love to come back!
