What is this lecture about?
Designing and prototyping of a mobile app for brand engagement purposes; concept design (learn how to make it); Prototype in HTML, CSS, XD or Figma (learn how to do it).



Task definition
Understand how Advertising in Mobile Apps works (principles, types of content). Get to know App business models, App Monetisation. Understand the basics of Mobile App-marketing. Learn how to make a concept design for a Mobile App. Learn how to prototype a simple mobile web app. Create a Mobile App based on your own idea. The app should fulfil a real user need, provide interesting user interaction and has something to do with buying/marketing/advertising. Create a PDF document about the concept design of your app. Create a short video about the app (walkthrough video).
SoLoMo App: "Helping App" for "daily live"- tasks (e.g. cooking, eating lifestyle, grocery shopping, baking, houserhold, finance, hobbies, etc.).



Realisation
The project team's approach:
Many children and young people want to learn more about news and facts. However, they often find conventional news formats boring, while the overwhelming amount of fake news and information on social media is even more confusing. Factimal, an official partner of Tagesschau, offers an innovative solution: an app that presents news and knowledge in a playful way. Children and young people can learn in an entertaining way, expand their knowledge and play with friends at the same time. Factimal combines education, fun and interactivity in a safe and trustworthy environment.
